Let's discuss some animation oddities from the show!
To start off, in the first episode of the series "Dan Vs. New Mexico", there's a couple frames to note throughout the episode. During the scene where Dan is talking to Chris before heading into the second library, he turns for a moment and this happens:
Notice anything?
His shirt is mirrored, which honestly isn't the worst thing that could happen during animation. Someone just forgot the set the orientation right when flipping a torso asset, no big deal...
but then... there's the first scene with Elise in the car:
What happened here?? Elise's face feels... spaced out compared to her default look.
Well to be honest, I'm not quite sure, but if I had to guess maybe it was left over from some old assets.
On to the next one, there's this:
This is something Cpt. Jerk pointed out. Elise's breasts are.. a bit more pronounced in this frame for whatever reason. Maybe an artist didn't get the memo? Who knows...
Here's another perspective one:
It's always got to be the car view, huh?
This time, we have Dan looking a bit off model. They used his 3/4 view head, yet the eyes are pushed to the right a bit in this shot. Not really a mistake or anything, just something interesting.
Lastly, we have a bit of a funny mistake. In the scene a little afterwards after dropping Elise off, Dan shoves his hand in Chris' face with the intent to poke him. When this happens, for a few short frames we see this on the left:
DAN IS POSSESSED, QUICK GET THE PROTON PACKS!
They essentially forgot to draw his upper arm in that shot.
Anyways, this is all I have for now. I don't plan on going through all the episodes but if you're interested, I may consider it... but do feel free to post your own weird animation findings here, I'd like to see what you discovered!
