I would like to see episodes that are set within "alternative universes" or AUs. I was mainly inspired by the story routes of Completing the Mission in The Henry Stickmin Collection, and how the story paths of the previous two games affected the route you'd take in CTM.
Here are a few examples of ideas I have in mind: what if we got an episode set within an alternate timeline where the main trio are VILLAINS working with some of the other antagonists, like The Dentist or the Demon Boss? Or what about an episode where Dan is the primary antagonist, and Elise is forced to hunt him down as apart of her job? Or an alternate timeline episode where Dan NEVER meets Chris and Elise, and he goes rogue on his own terms (either as a hitman, a contract killer, or a vigilante?). Or an episode about an AU timeline where Elise works for a villainous organization and ELISE SR. is an agent working for the quasi-governmental organization instead (like seriously, how amazing does VILLAIN ELISE sound?). Either that, or we get an AU episode where Imposter Dan is the TRUE Dan, and the Dan we know is the "Imposter" of this timeline. XD
I know a lot of fans will be against the idea of Dan Vs being set within a multiverse, since it makes things super complicated (looking at you, Daria fandom). But I think it could work, and the writers get to have a lot of fun playing around with the ideas. Plus they can always make the AU episodes non-canon for the sake of the main plot and arcs.
Also, Dan seems to vaguely remember the events of Family Cruise after the family was sucked into the Catalina parallelogram, so perhaps this supports the idea that Dan was sent to an alternate dimension/universe? Marvel as of recently has been experimenting with the multiverse concept with Wandavision and the "What If?" animated series, so perhaps experimenting with this same concept in-universe with Dan Vs could be fun. ^^;
To add to this: I'd imagine Elise Senior's style as a government agent would be more precise, classy, and skilled when compared to Elise Junior's Solid Snake/Kim Possible-style (in terms of combat and stealth). Think classic James Bond or the original 1960s Mission Impossible TV Series.
As for Villain Elise, well...I'd say she would be a Noir Femme Fatale: mysterious and sexy, but also cunning, smart, and dangerous.
For another AU episode idea, my brother suggested a role-reversal episode where Dan and Chris switch personalities and lifestyles. So in this timeline, Dan would be the kind soft guy trying to maintain reason, whereas Chris is the angry self-centered jobless misanthrope. I'm sure Elise's love life would be a lot worse in this universe. ^^;
