I kinda missed this intially since I was paying attention to a different war, but this is a bad one.
From what we know, in November of 2020, conflict broke out between the government of Ethiopia and the autonomous region of Tigray in the north along the border with Eritrea.
Details are...very iffy, we barely know the frontline situation. Death toll could be anywhere from a couple hundred, to 100k. Ethiopia says the Tigray are killing themselves, the Tigray say they're being genocided, Eritrea denies involvement, and this has escalated to a border conflict with Sudan, who is having to deal with the millions of refugee.
There are horror stories, however. Machete killing, hyenas feasting on bodies, and the confirmed "Mai Kadra Massacre", which killed anywhere from 750-1100, and the "Axum Massacre", which killed 600-800 and may have lead to the Ark of the Covenant(the real one) being stolen or destroyed.
It's not pretty. I'll provide info if I can later.
Discuss it here

I heard about this recently, it's so sad. Makes you really think about how living in a first world country makes you lucky. I don't think I'd survive in a place like that.
