I think this phycological term was under our noses in Season: 1 Episode: 4, to explain Dan's toxic and manipulative behavior towards Chris......
Please comment below on how you feel, am I stretching this claim too much? or maybe you disagree with my theory.. I'd like to talk!
What I'm talking about is The Ninja episode in which Chris is used for bait to find the antagonist, that leads to Chis getting poisoned by Ninja Dave (if you watched the episode you know what I'm talking about, if you haven't watched it spoilers are ahead!!!). In this episode Chris is forced to dress up like Dan as a distraction tactic, when Chris gets poisoned he talks about seeing "Flying Monkeys" A LOT within the time being drugged and hallucinating (probably tripping on acid). Flying monkeys is a Psychological term used by many to describe people who act in part for an abuser, like sabotages or acts of crime/violence etc, according to Wikipedia "Flying monkeys is a term used in popular psychology, mainly in the context of narcissistic abuse, to describe people who act on behalf of a narcissist towards a third party, usually for an abusive purpose (e.g. a smear campaign). The phrase has also been used to refer to people who act on behalf of a psychopath" in this case Chris is the flying monkey in the show and Dan is... well.... you know, this makes total sense on why Chris says it so many times. Right after he gets poisoned he says "Flying monkeys? This time of year? Someone! Call the zoo!! Why must you torment me?! Why can't you be satisfied with flying?? Help! Someone! This is very confusing..." this sounds like an intentionally placed dialogue trying to hint that Chris is being manipulated and used.. it's not like this is a small joke about animals that fly that's only is mentioned in a brief sentence. This went on until the end of the episode... as if it was on purpose, he kept saying things about flying monkeys attacking him, in conclusion I think this segment of the episode is hinting/confirming Dan is abusive by using psychology lingo.... if I'm not wrong.
