These are the codenames for two future plans to take our forum into the Golden Age.
OPERATION GAMERGRUB: This is the simpler of the two. Email all the old, inactive members on the forum, and see if they want to return. I imagine some either forgot we existed, or didn't post early on when we were smaller and less active.
We can hopefully get a few of them back in action. (Specifically Showtim and Zobazilla, the main targets of this op)
PROJECT ROME: The BIG new scheme.
You see, up until this point, I've mainly been using two fandoms for inspiration for building this fandom, Spongebob and Daria.
Cross referencing the two of them covered alot of bases(The SpongeBob Fandom gets alot of new members, is more open, and the show is more silly. Daria Fandom has lasted years, has a solid fandom wiki, and the show is more serious) which worked well enough.
However, there is one thing BOTH these fandoms have we don't. Both the SpongeBob Fourm(Operating in the form of predecessor sites since 2001) and the Daria Forum (1999 onward, with older sites dating back to 1996) both have existed pretty continuously, unlike the Dan Vs Fandom, which was effectively dead for a while.
We MAY have learned how to keep a fire going, but we didn't learn how to bring the fire back to life.
(Also, I've been all, but banned from the SpongeBob Community, and I've kinda had a falling out with the Daria Fandom, so I can't go back for much more research)
I've found the perfect place to use as a new case study and guidebook.
The My Life as a Teenage Robot Fandom.
Like us, they were effectively dead for years, before a single, strong fandom leader fostered the people together, got the fandom back together, and even began work on a continuation.
I feel this is the best case study.
We need to learn from them, ALOT.
